It all started with Floyd
We thank Floyd Blinsky of Yakima, Washington for originating the idea of having Shiners Hospital for Children and Shine Circus messages displayed on the sides of his own semi-trailers.
The fundraising opportunity was then promoted through Zor Funsters, the local Shriners Unit in Wisconsin, and was a huge success. With the help of Zor Funsters members and Truck drivers Terry McShane and Ron Jaacks the fundraiser was expanded to a national program. Owners of Sparhawk Trucking Mark and Tom Sparhawk and owner of ProSticker.com Steve Livernash were eager to help.
The Zor Funsters have made this a quality fundraising program.
Shriners Hospitals for Children, Zor Funsters along with Sparhawk Trucking, Inc. and http://www.prosticker.com/, two companies in Wisconsin Rapids, Wis., teamed up to make this unique advertising opportunity available. Sparhawk Trucking has donated space on the sides of their semi-trailers to help promote Shriners Hospitals for Children. ProSticker.com has donated the time and talent to create the look and then manufacture vinyl artwork to be displayed on the semi-trailers, creating these rolling billboards that help to raise awareness of Shriners Hospitals for Children, as well the sponsors through ad space. You can visit http://zorfunsters.zoomshare.com/0.html or www.shrinerstrailerad.com for more information on the Funfunsters Trailer program.
According to Wayne M. Witczak, Past Director of Corporate Sponsorships and Giving for Shriners Hospitals for Children, "This is one of the most unique and inexpensive opportunities for businesses to show their support for our well-known charitable organization and gain exposure for their own businesses at the same time."
“An exciting advertising opportunity is being offered for the benefit of
Shriners Hospitals for Children”
Companies, Organizations & Individuals may purchase space for display of their logo & message on the sides of a semi-trailer, along with the Shriners Hospitals for Children's logo. Unlike stationary billboards, which can only been seen from one spot, these “rolling billboards” travel from coast to coast, through urban and rural areas, reaching millions of viewers nationwide.
Approximately six years is typically the length of time that semi-trailers are in service on the road. The annual cost of this inexpensive opportunity is about $665 a year, or approximately $56 a month, $28 each side, for six years. This inexpensive advertising opportunity is a tremendous value, and also helps to increase public awareness of Shriners Hospitals for Children.
We also have programs to put the Shrine Hospitals Logo on your truck. Our design dept. will work with you to present a great looking display for you & Shriners Hospital for Children.
